The Prestige series of mm cartridges
are designed for high output and stability under the most demanding
of conditions.
All of the the range use Grado's patented Optimised Transmission
Line technology which carefully dissipates any resonance's.The prestige
range is split in to three categories:
The prestige black and prestige green moving magnet
cartridges use a three piece cantilever system coupled to an elliptical
diamond
mounted
on a
brass bush.
The prestige green uses the same mechanical components as the prestige
black, but is manufactured to a higher engineering tolerance resulting
in an extended performance.
The prestige blue and prestige red models use an
enhanced four piece cantilever system coupled to a specially designed
elliptical
diamond
mounted on a brass bush. The prestige blue uses the same mechanical
components as the prestige red but is manufactured to a higher
engineering
tolerance resulting in a superior performance.
The prestige silver and prestige gold models
use a four piece OTL cantilever technology, ultra-high purity
long crystal
(UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire in the coils and Grado's specially
designed elliptical diamond mounted on a brass bushing. The Gold
model is selected from the Silver production run to meet higher
test specifications. Approximately 5% of the production run meet
these standards and become Gold models.

by the Green at £50.00 (42.55 ex vat) the Blue at £60.00

Review Extracts
"The Grado Prestige Gold is definitely
a "best buy" in the cartridge stakes. It's cheap enough
to be an impulse purchase, yet musical enough to satisfy. Very highly
recommended!"
AudioEnz
"Bass is deep and heavy with good chug
factor, notes maintaining a distinct beginning and end on Massive
Attack's Inertia Creeps, with timing a strong point on all manner
of material. It's also surprisingly open for a moving magnet cartridge,
producing a rich balance with plenty of air. Remarkable at any price,
let alone £110!"

"If you have a moderately-priced turntable
lurking in your closet, pull it out, get a Grado prestige Green,
install it and LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. You'll enjoy!"

" More expensive cartridges may well
provide incremental improvements in one or more areas, but the Grado
performs at a level where such improvements will be small. I recommend
that you consider this sensible cartridge, as it is good value for
the price."
